time to sort the beads :: dawn at our house

We had another early morning today. The kids got up at about 5:30. By the time 8 a.m. rolled around, True had finished his lesson and Elle West was down for a nap.

We've got wish bracelets on our minds, what with the recent delivery of beads and all. Holiday Wish Bracelets are coming in an assortment of sparkling beads & are looking at a bag of about 5,000 Diva beads.

I had told True, after placing the order, that he'd get to help me sort them.

He started very enthusiastically; becoming more and more methodical about his technique.

There are seventeen different diva bead colors. Some of them only very slightly in color. They come in little bags of approximately 100, and assorted...hence the reason for sorting them.

About half way through his first bag, True needed a rest.

He got back after it, but rested in regular intervals until he got the job done.

Remember the Dunkin Donut guy from the 80s?...time to make the donuts. I just can't help but to compare. Only 4,916 more beads to sort!

Actually, between the two of us, we got about 500 sorted. True earned $3. I told him I'd give him a $1 for each bag he sorted. He did one all by himself, and did a fantastic job. We sorted four's more fun with company. Then he moved on to legos. I'm sure you know me well enough by now to know that I'd rather sort beads {by a lot} than play with legos. To each their own.
